Thanks for reading our first blog post!  We hope you’ll come back often, as we write about our little village on the Neuse River in North Carolina.

This past weekend was an eventful one, as we hosted a wedding reception on our grounds on Saturday. Many of the wedding party were guests here at the hotel.  The weather couldn’t have been better– it was sunny, warm and dry all the way until checkout time on Sunday morning, when we had some modest sprinkles.  Many of our guests remarked about what a hidden gem Oriental is, an unexpected find with water, sky and great accommodations.
