Visit Coastal North Carolina in Oriental’s Newest Hotel

Those unusually high temperatures that have smothered the eastern US are leaving the Oriental area. It’s back to sunny skies and seasonal temperatures that are perfect for travel and the outdoors. In fact, today’s 10-day forecast predicts wonderful weather– with only the occasional stray thunderstorm we get along the coast; they move through quickly and then they’re gone.

We’re a popular place! The hotel is fully booked this weekend, with half of our rooms rented to the guests for a local wedding. But there are rooms available next week and through the weekend.

The weather is becoming summer-like, but we have the water! We usually have a cooling breeze blowing in from the river– almost four miles wide at Oriental– so you’ll have a front seat on the Neuse. While you’re visiting Oriental, enjoy a wide selection of watersports. Sign up for sailing charters, sightseeing and ecology tours around the area in powerboats, including rigid inflatables. There are a number of sport fishing guides who know where to catch what you’re after.
